Wall of Love

It was so strange to be an adult again. To just leave the house without hundreds of bags and back up plans. To have an actual meal with my husband and sleep! We actually got a full night's sleep! I know that's nothing exciting but being able to go to bed by 9 and not being wake up in the night was incredible!

Just having some time to myself, to relax in the pool, have a meal without being conscious of what I'm eating, a couple of drinks, knowing I'm not going to be called upon and being in a beautiful location. Waking when I wanted and getting breakfast before coming back home. Thank you. The hotel was amazing, especially with the air con! Everyone was kind and friendly, gorgeous room, overlooking fields. Just what was needed to take a breath from the chaos of life.

Words cannot express how much I benefited from this break. I was so happy- lovely, friendly staff and luxurious surroundings. Thank you so much.

I feel the break did my partner and me a lot of good and gave us the alone time that was needed. We had a few drinks and a lovely meal out, which we very rarely get the chance to do without my son. The hotel was lovely, with very helpful and polite staff. We had the breakfast, which was excellent and had a lot of choice, so thank you all very much. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ all the way. Xx

Enjoyed the break at Rookery Hall Spa. Went with my daughter and spent quality time together. The staff were incredibly helpful and the food was first class. Enjoyed our time in the spa, very relaxing. Would definitely book here again.

It was lovely to actually have a nights sleep, not to worry all night long. The break was important because it recharged my batteries something that hasn’t been done for a very long time. Really grateful that the hotel made this possible or me .

Hotel treated me like a queen, nothing too much trouble, I had a lovely room, fantastic massage and spa time, Superb Sunday lunch 3 course. I felt totally pampered and good about myself looking forward to going again. Thank you Carefree your a STAR XX

Rookery Hall staff were exceptional, kind, chatty and very helpful. My room was luxurious and relaxing. The break gave me an important break which enables a way forward to gain energy and carry on in my privileged life of caring for my loved ones.

It was a wonderful break away. Lovely hotel, nice staff, and a relaxing pool.

The chance to relax and enjoy time with my husband was very much appreciated. Caring for my lovely mum can be very time-consuming—not that I would change that—but sometimes you need to be able to step back and make time for other family members.

Me and my husband had a lovely break without worrying about my son. We stayed only a 10-minute drive from home but that was fine and I felt if things didn’t go well I could easily go home. I am feeling relaxed and able to cope better. This break also made me think I need to take care of my mental health too.

This mini break was needed due to the significant amount of support and care I provide to my mother-in-law. The hotel was excellent and all the staff were welcoming and professional. I used the Spa and treated myself to a massage. Thank you Chesford Grange Hotel and Spa for making a difference to my well-being.

It was a really joy to be able to have a 2 night break. Had it not been offered by the charity I would not have gone. Being away made me realise that there is more to life than just being a carer. It give me the confidence to make more time just for myself, without feeling guilty.

This break was extremely important to help recharge my batteries and to get away from everyday stresses and to relax. The Ro was a great place to stay in Bowness. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious, and there was plenty of choice for breakfast. Great location. Thank you so much.
