Wall of Love

For the first time in a very long time, I was able to properly rest. The hotel and grounds were so peaceful, and the scenery was beautiful, all helping me to relax my mind and body. It made a difference to be able to think about my needs for a change.I found the respite to be very positive, for both myself and family members. Thank you for this opportunity.

Quality time with my teenage daughter who stayed with me. I was able to attend a school reunion. Without the generous offer of free accommodation, this trip would have been impossible. My husband enjoyed the company of a friend who looked after him — so we all benefited. Thank you!

It’s such a help. In our case we have been doing very expensive 1000mile round trips to visit daughter inpatient. This helped us to stay for free somewhere on that journey but without the expense. So without her with us but it helped enable us to visit her as well as having a break

We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay at the wonderful Lugger again. Just to have a few hours to ourselves in such a beautiful place made such a difference. The staff recognised us from last year and were so helpful with my own mobility issues. Wonderful food, beautiful views, and a good night's sleep. I have had an extremely challenging time arranging for residential care for my husband. I was exhausted, so the break enabled me to recharge my batteries somewhat.

It's hard to put into words the blessing it was for my husband and me to have a break in such beautiful surroundings. It was such a gift to have time to prioritise each other for a change and have meals cooked for us, and for the little extras, we found in our room each day. We LOVED the coastal venue and the sea views from the dining area. We have returned feeling recharged and relaxed!
